Residents and visitors alike rest confident in the health care options available to them right here in Fort Dodge. Trinity Regional Medical Center is a licensed 200-bed private, nonprofit hospital, serving Fort Dodge and the surrounding communities. As a designated regional referral center, Trinity serves an eight-county area with a population of approximately 120,000. Trinity Regional Medical Center is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation for Health Care Organizations. Offering a wide range of primary and secondary care services, Trinity Regional Medical Center employs over 860 health care professionals, technicians, and employees and boasts a medical staff of 90 physicians.

In 1996 a 40,000 square foot addition was built to house the new outpatient ambulatory surgery center. The hospital campus is home to the new Iowa Heart Center and two physicians’ office complexes as well.

Trinity’s strength has benefitted from relationships with the regional hospitals and the Trimark physician network. We are fortunate to have the support of the primary care hospitals in Humboldt, Pocahontas and Sac City, combined with a strong rural physician network in 17 communities throughout northwestcentral Iowa. This association with our rural partners demonstrates the importance of interdependence within the system and is a main reason why Trinity Regional Medical Center has become the major health care provider in our region. The medical center is also a member of the Iowa Health System, linking Fort Dodge to other hospitals throughout the state.

Community Health Center of Fort Dodge makes its mission to elevate the health of our community by increasing access for all to quality health services, especially the uninsured and underinsured. Originally established in 1999 as the Fort Dodge Free Clinics, the Community Health Center made the transition to Federally Qualified Health Centers in April of 2006. A few of our services include: General Primary Medical Care for Children and Adults, OB/GYN Care, Immunizations, Behavioral Health Services, and Nutrition Counseling.

We are located at 126 N. 10th Street. Our phone is 576-6500. We are open Monday-Friday.
