ARLENE J. STEELE

ST. CHARLES, Mo. — Arlene J. Steel died April 10, 2008, at St. Charles, Mo.

Memorial service is at noon Saturday, April 19, 2008, at Baue Funeral and Memorial Center Chapel, St. Charles, Mo. Services will be held in Fort Dodge on Saturday, April 26, 10 a.m., at the Celebration Center, Friendship Haven, 420 Kenyon Road.

Arlene, the daughter of Charlotte O. Rickard and the late H. Keith Rickard, of Rolfe, was born August 25, 1947 at Laurens. She married Richard Steele on Aug. 20, 1967, at Rolfe. She worked as a registered nurse at Trinity Regional Hosptial, for 12 years and Intracorp, Itaska, Ill. for seven years. She was a member of American Sewing Guild, Church of the Shepherd and National Honor Society.

Survivors include three sons, William Steele, Montgomery City, Mo., Brian (Freedom) Steele, Auburn, Neb., and Bradley Steele, St. Charles, Mo.; two grandsons, Zachary Steele and Ethan Steele, both of Auburn, Neb.; three sisters, Jeanette (Jim) Fitzgerald, Urbana, Ill., Cheryl (John) VanDeVoorde, Lynn Center, Ill., Donna (Jim) Viers, Rolfe; and brother, John (Carrie) Rickard, Johnstown, Colo.

Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
