PEARL M. MAACH

HUMBOLDT — Pearl M. Maach, 93, of Humboldt, passed away March 28, 2008 at Friendship Haven in Fort Dodge. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home with the Rev. Jan Burnett officiating. Interment will be in North Lawn Cemetery, Fort Dodge. Visitation with the family will be from 10-11 a.m. prior to funeral services Tuesday morning at the funeral home. The Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Maach is survived by her stepsons, Jayson (Helen) Maach of Humboldt, Mason (Betty) Maach of Humboldt; two nieces; two nephews; 5 step-grandchildren, 9 step-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Albert; sisters, Dorothy and Grace; brother, Ivan; and niece Lynda Young.

Pearl Marie Erickson Maach, Daughter of Henry and Ida (Poldervaart) Erickson, was born September 29, 1914, at Fort Dodge, IA. She was raised and educated in that area. After her education she was employed in medical offices in Humboldt for many years. She was united in marriage to Albert Maach in 1961. They lived on the farm in Grove Township in Humboldt County. When Mr. Maach’s health failed they moved into Humboldt in 1968. After Mr. Maach’s death in 1982, Mrs. Maach continued to make her home in Humboldt until 2000, when she moved to Friendship Haven in Fort Dodge. She was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, and the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Friendship Haven for their special care of Pearl over the years.
