Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 31st at 10:30 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church with the Rev. Allen Henderson officiating. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm Sunday at the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home.
Survivors include her mother, Heather Farrell and her step-father, Mark of Fort Dodge; father, Todd Jones of Fort Dodge; brothers, Karson Farrell, Keaton and Kaden Jones; grandmother, Michael Bacon of Otho; grandfather, Tim Bacon and his wife Lisa of Fort Dodge; grandmother, Jan Jones of Fort Dodge; grandfather, Bob Jones and his wife Mary of Fort Dodge; grandfather, Mike Farrell and his wife Linda of Vincent; grandmother, Diane Carter and her husband Mark of Fort Dodge; great-grandparents, Ed and Georgia Bacon of Fort Dodge and Don and Mary Ann George of Humboldt; and also many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her cousin, Adam Taylor; an uncle, David Bacon; and her buddy, Clint “Cleatus” Pringle.
Kayla Christine Jones was born on March 22, 1992, in Fort Dodge. She attended St. Paul Lutheran School where she participated in many activities; including cheerleading, basketball, volleyball, band, and student government. She was class president her 8th Grade year. Kayla was currently a sophomore at Fort Dodge Senior High School and was employed at Shoppers Supply at the time of her death. She participated in dance for 10 years at Jills Jazz Pizazz and was also a cheerleader at Fort Dodge Senior High for 2 years. Kayla was a member of the Pep Club and the St. Paul Lutheran Youth Group. She loved taking pictures, dance, motocross races, and spending time with her family and friends. Kayla will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She will always be remembered for her big beautiful smile.
