Lina Hanes, formerly of Fort Dodge, went home to her heavenly Father on Wednesday, December 19.

Services are planned for Saturday, Dec. 29, 12:30 pm, Gunderson Funeral Home, 1615 N. 15th St., Fort Dodge, with visitation Friday, Dec. 28, 6 pm—8pm.

She is survived by three daughters, Nedra (Mike) Henry of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Linda (William) Elwood of Fremont, Nebraska, Gayle (Terry) Fritz of Tucson, Arizona and two sons, Bruce (Sharon) of North Ranch, California and Brad (Barbara) of Waterloo, Iowa, 16 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, Janet Johnson (Ralph) of Dallas Center, and two grandchildren.

She was born Dec. 2, 1911, to Theodore and Myrtle Gadbury in Fort Dodge, Iowa. In 1933 she married Howard B. Hanes, Sr. Lina was a homemaker and assisted her husband in a carpet cleaning business and apartment house management. She attended Good News Chapel where she was active in music, teaching, hospitality and various other ministries.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Billy Graham Evang. Association.
