The Rev. Dennis Quint, pastor of Holy Family parish in Grundy Center, will preside at weekend masses, as well as speaking Sunday and Monday evenings at 7 p.m. at St. Thomas. The Sunday evening talk, “Gutters, Groans, and Grace — Our Calling Today” will address the individual’s role in the church and how best to serve God and his people at this challenging time. The Monday evening topic, “Happy are Those who are Called to His Supper” will consider how the Eucharist as a sacrifice and a meal shapes the lives of Catholics.
Quint was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Dubuque in 1996. He holds a master of arts degree in liturgical studies from the University of Notre Dame, and a master of divinity and master of arts in theology degree from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn.
