The majority of these council members need to pull their heads out of where the sun don't shine and quit spending like there's no tomorrow. At least take care of real problems first.

Well, hopefully a lesson is learned about the real costs of short-sighted planning verses the potentially higher immediate costs of planning things correctly for the long-haul. Be lucky it was only around $200,000 as that wouldn't buy one house in many markets. They'll probably want to eventually put stoplights on 15th street there too.
