Regulate bullets, not guns

March 17, 2013

To the editor: Comedian Chris Rock says we don’t need gun control, rather we need bullet control. He wants each bullet to cost $5,000....

soundco, Clean your glasses and reread my post. You must of missed the part where I said "Both sides are controlled by big money" in my post. Try to comprehend the post before you start calling people names. Your starting to sound like Steve King when you make quick judgements without thinking.

No problem, hbockoven. Nothing says it has to be coffee; maybe one of those LARGE sodas that Bloombergs against. I just thought it would be nice to meet a fellow supporter but the option is there if you want. And I promise you, I'm not a "revolutionary" brother as one on here claims I must be.

Anyone remember the job Clinton & Co. did on those Branch Davidians near Waco? Confidence in the federal govt restraint, indeed! Now, if they had only had a few of those hand-held, wire-guided antitank weapons I helped provide Israel bkc in '73, it might have been a fair fight.

BigSlik1944...I choose to honor the victims of gun violence and unjustified wars with my voice rather than a flag. American's must become informed and question legislation, seek the truth and relay their findings to their representatives rather than blindly accept an argument for political or selfish reasons. Lives are at stake...maybe my voice will help to save some.

BigSlik1944...For informational purposes, the President is a democrat, the Senate is controlled by the democrats with the two independents in their pocket and the House is controlled by the republicans. The republicans use the filibuster in the Senate to block Democrat legislation...60 votes needed to break a filibuster...53 Dems..2 Indep...45 repub. If there was a tie on a vote, the VP breaks it with his vote. Glen Beck?..Hmmm, an exposed piece of the puzzle. UN treaty..will never pass the Senate. Your guns are safe! The killing will continue here and around the world. The UN will never have a say in how our country is run, just as we shouldn't in others (Iraq). Yes, we lost 4 Americans in Lybia, where is your concern for the 4500 lost in Iraq?

I had to laugh when I saw taxedenough's comment. If I'm not mistaken (and I may be), aren't the Democrats the ones in control? And soundco, the invitation should have included you, and bububud you don't have to worry about being the sugar bowl, you're invited too. And I don't listen to Rush (maybe I should), I'll take Glen Beck any day. And while you're counting deaths, look up the total of non-gun related deaths. And I noticed you still haven't commented about the United Nations Arms Treaty. And if you're open-minded read Agenda 21 and you will see where the UN is already influencing American cities. And can you answer WHY the UN should have anything to do with the way OUR country is being run? And you want an "incident" that seems to be forgotten? Where was BHO when the SHTF at Benghazi and we lost 4 brave Americans?

I don't thimk I have ever seen so many paraniod comments in one place. I don't care who has the bullets or why they have them. We have an elected goverment that does not listen to mainstreet people. Both sides are controlled by big money with the Republicans controled by a few extremley rich. Those rich are the people that I worry about because once they break the unions, do away with minimun wages and work rules you will not have the money to buy guns, bullets or food and medical care. They are the ones to watch because they will contol and dictate to you. The K-o-c-h brothers have already started in Wisconsin with their bought and paid for govener changing laws that stike at the heart of working people.

BigSlik1944...Hey, Big, you forgot soundco! I can just imagine the conversation at THAT gathering! If it gets a little dull, may I suggest some righty talking points...Hmmm..."Did you hear Rush this morning,?" "Obama did what,?" "He's a socialist, ya know," (heads nod in agreement), "I think I saw a drone," "Where's Benghazi," (confused look), They're not going to get my guns,!" "I want to be ready when the government starts killing Americans!" There, a few suggestions to keep it lively! Never mention the 20 dead children in Connecticut or the 3,000 gun deaths in the US since...not important anyway and like so many other "incidents" the hope is that America just forgets about them. Let's keep the conversation at a "certain" level. Ya, I would just love to be the sugar bowl at that table!

Bigslick, might some time, but I am not from Dodge and don't get there very often. I grew up in the area and check the news online. The part I like is that someone disagreed with your offer for coffee. I think people just hit the button based on who they are not what they say. For all the folks that think govt tyranny cannot happen in this country check out New Jersey's child services attempted raid on a house over a facebook photo of a kid holding his rifle. Of course the gal in charge wouldn't identify herself. Good thing the guy called his attorney while it was happening. The guy is a licensed firearms instructor and bought it for his son. And you lefties think I am paranoid. Of course cps won't comment on it.

Got a couple of questions for you BuBu. You said maybe the govt was just shopping around for the best price on ammo, sarcastically I presume. But why do they need the ammo. On top of that it is illegal war ammo. They don't need it for target practice as any will work. Also someone said on one of these posts that if we did have to fight the military we would lose because of their firepower. So do I take that to mean you would just cave in and not stand and fight for your rights? Sometimes it is not winning, but the principals involved. I myself would give up my life if our govt does what many of see as a real possibility someday. Paranoid no, prepared yes.

And while you're at it, bububud, check out the proposed United Nations Arms Trade Treaty that your buddy BHO has told Kerry that he wants endorsed. If you do read it, be sure to take off your rose-colored glasses first.

Wow, bububud. Revolution? "Blood" brothers, and " the day you all so seem to cherish...the day the shooting begins"? The last thing any of us wants is what you seem to think we DO want. Where in any of the comments in this do you come up with the idiotic idea that this is our goal, anyway? You want a picture? OK. For some reason BHO decides martial law is necessary. Why? And if he does, what will your reaction be? Follow your "piper" or have the stones to stand up for your freedom. Am I paranoid, like you seem to think; I like to think I'm not but I will be prepared; will you?

BigSlik1944...Tell us all, Big, after you and your other "blood" brothers here have had your little revolution what will our America look like? Martial law? Schools closed? Stores closed and probably looted? Food and fuel? Order??? Give us all a picture of the day you all so seem to cherish...the day the shooting begins! Maybe a stop at McDonalds for a Big Mac and fries on the way to the front? Tell us about your little revolution! After a hard day of shooting and killing, a return home to some cocoa and RFD-TV? Give us a picture if you would. The "Twilight Zone" and your posts are two peas in a pod......

I've evidentally ruffled bububuds feathers once and WAS going to ignore his comment about the parade, but, hey - maybe that's not such a bad idea. How about a parade/rally in support of the 2nd Amendment!? Might not be such a bad idea. Any thoughts from the 2nd Amendment supporters out there? And how's that theme song "Twilight Zone" working for you now, bud?

Maybe we'll see some knee high black booted bafoons running around in uniform handing out leaflets and looking all tough...I can just imagine the hilarity...does Hogan's Hero's and Colonel Klink come to mind? Again...Paaaaaronooooia! Seek help.....

The only person I may represent a threat to is the person who attempts to take my freedom away. And once again I see some disagreements to my posting but not a rebuttal comment, which I always find curious and interesting. And I will spread the word to my veteran friends on FB as the discontent is growing amongst them as well.

Will be joining as soon as I have the "extra" cash. In the meantime, Following is an excerpt from a reportedly FBI report and some of my own feelings on the subject. Here's the part I found most interesting; The mainstream media has continued a propaganda campaign to demonize Constitutionalists by claiming that “increasingly frightening numbers, cells of angry men in the United States preparing for combat with the U.S. government. They are usually heavily armed, blinded by an intractable hatred, often motivated by religious zeal.” These patriots (us) are demonized as “white, right-wing Americans, nearly all with an obsessive attachment to guns, who may represent a greater danger to the lives of American civilians than international terrorists.”

All well & good, hbockoven but what percentage of Americans are members of OathKeepers****? And it's that 25% that said they would shoot on Americans that has me worried. And I see bububud still has his rose colored glasses on. Kinda hard to stick your head in the sand with glasses on, isn't it?

Like the DHS, ICE. And it would take 24 continual years of war to use that much ammunition. As for "over throwing the military", I'm hoping that if it does come right down to it that our military would refuse to fire on American citizens. Thought to ponder: why is BHO getting rid of so many high-ranking officers? I feel that they're gone because they said the wouldn't order their troops to fire on American citizens. That's why he's arming the DHS so heavily; if it comes to declaring martial law I think they may follow BHO's lead. So America - long live the Minutemen and God bless America!!
