Yeah, "we the people" - in harness, with Obama wielding the whip, exercising his superior knowledge of all things including the inadequacies of the Constitution and its "negative" freedoms. Regulation and liberty are opposites; the former, unchecked, leads to tyranny.

Listened to the speech, but all I heard was that individual endeavor apparently had very little to do with economic progress; it has all been thanks to collective action via the good offices - and intentions - of the federal government. So, heaven is just around the corner now thanks to Obama's leading a collective pursuit of "social justice." All of which dismisses Holderin's wise observation that "what has made the state a h e l l on earth has been precisely that man has tried to make it his heaven."
