All-NCC volleyball teams released
St. Edmond was rewarded with a pair of selections on the recently named all-North Central Conference volleyball team. Senior Alison Nagel (middle hitter) landed on the top squad for the Gaels, while classmate Stefanie Boeckman (libero) was nominated to the third team. For the season, Nagel was 136 of 165 from the service line with 113 digs and 35 aces. Nagel also anchored SEHS in kills (358) and blocks (111). “I was hoping Alison wouldn’t get overlooked, because she definitely deserved to be on there,” said first-year Gael head coach John Johnson. “She led the conference in kills and blocks per game and was our go-to girl all year long. “We know we’re losing a very important part of the team.” Boeckman went 210-for-219 serving with 435 digs and 26 aces for St. Edmond, which finished 14-17 overall and 2-7 in the league. “Stef led the conference in digs, which was a pleasant surprise,” Johnson said.
