Spotlight on 4-H
Sara Mae Thoma is the daughter of Melanie and Randy Thoma of Barnum. She is a senior and a member of the Johnson Jaguars 4-H Club.
HEAD: Through the 4-H program, I have learned to the process of setting goals as well as achieving above and beyond the initial goal. My involvement in this program has taught me how to be confident both on the stage as a speaker as well as in the audience socializing with new friends. I have also learned how to keep accurate records, present myself in a professional manner, and be successful in a one-on-one interview.
HEART: The 4-H program has taught me to put my heart into things I am passionate about. Personally, I enjoy being an active member of my community through volunteer work. At State 4-H Conference I was able to take part in activities such as the preparation for the Special Olympics, the assembling of fans for the campus collage kids, and landscaping for the local Library.
