Group seeks donations for benefit
Auction item donations are being sought for a June 7 benefit for Christine Gatewood-Summers, of Clarion.
An emergency room nurse at Trinity Regional Medical Center, she was on her way to work on March 5 and was in a car crash, which paralyzed her from the waist down. She is at Younkers Rehabilitation Center in Des Moines.
The benefit will be held at the Eagle Grove Armory and include a meal, bake sale, silent auction, live auction and a raffle for a 4-foot bear chainsaw sculpture.
Anyone with something to donate either to the auction or bake sale may contact Cheri Gatewood at 851-1105 or Leann Gatewood at 571-3040.
Money donations may be sent in the name of Gatewood-Summers, a graduate of Eagle Grove High School, to Security Savings Bank, 201 W. Broadway, Eagle Grove, IA 50533.
Catholic Daughters to meet Thursday
Catholic Daughters will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Corpus Christi parish center for Mass, dinner, meeting and program.
