Giving rise to the voices of Spring
McSweeny’s School of the Performing Arts will give rise to the “Voice of Spring” when it presents two recitals Saturday at the school, 101 S. 13th St.
Open to the public, he first recital will begin at 4 p.m. with doors opening at 3:30 p.m. and the second recital will begin at 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free.
The program will feature vocal soloists, the Fort Dodge Area Youth Chorale and the Fort Dodge Area Children’s Chorus, which will be part of the first recital only.
Featured soloists will include Callie Border, Murphy Conrad, Alizabeth Davis, Laura Klein, Bethany Schillo, and Sarah Schumack.
Border, daughter of Mark and Sheila Border is a junior at St. Edmond High School. Conrad is the daughter of Mike and Jenny Conrad and is a sophomore at Prairie Valley High School. Davis, daughter of Larry and Diane Davis, is in ninth grade at St. Edmond High School.

Making a ‘Curtain Call’
Limber limbs will flow across the stage when the Iowa Central Dance Team presents “Curtain Call” at 7:30 p.m. March 27 and 28 at the Decker Auditorium on the Iowa Central Community College campus in Fort Dodge.
