Sonshine Singers Christmas Ministry - "A Christmas with Sonshine"
Corpus Christi Church, 402 North 8th Street, Fort Dodge, IA
Saturday, December 5th at 7:00 PM
The Sonshine Singers, an interdenominational group of vocalists from Fort Dodge and throughout the State of Iowa, will present "A Christmas with Sonshine" on Saturday, December 5th, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. The Ministry will feature many up-tempo and heartfelt anthems each depicting the different settings surrounding the birth of our Lord and Savior. Songs such as "Hark the Herald", "When Will He Come", and "Sleep Little King" tell of the glory of this wondrous event. Additionally, "Breath of Heaven" reflects the struggle of the unknown experienced by Mary. "Calypso Lullaby" and "Children Go Where I Send Thee" are more up-tempo numbers while "There is a Rose" is a heartfelt anthem that reinforces the idea of Jesus as the prize of heaven's garden...sent to earth for us all! The many other anthems and a congregational sing-a-long provide an atmosphere to celebrate the greatest Gift known to mankind...the birth of Jesus Christ!
For this Christmas Ministry, the Sonshine Singers will be accompanied by Janece Valentine. Additional instrumentalists are Craig Johnson and Kevin Thompson, percussionists, Jack Kahle, guitar, and Dee Murman will be playing flute.
There is no admission charge, however, a free will offering will be received with this years' proceeds equally divided between the Lord's Cupboard and the Food Pantry.
Come and enjoy "A Christmas with Sonshine"....blessings guaranteed!
