A group of organizations is attempting to slowly help downtown Fort Dodge slide back into its glory days and once again make it a section of town worthy of great pride.
With a combined effort from the Self-Supported Municipal Improvement District board, the Fort Dodge Area Chamber of Commerce Image Committee, private volunteers and the city, a renovated downtown has become a serious possibility.
Dennis Plautz, director of Business Affairs and Community Growth for the City of Fort Dodge, realized recently that each organization was working toward a similar goal, he said.
