Dayton Wranglers to hold Pony Express Dance

To the editor:

The Dayton Wranglers Saddle Club will be holding its annual Pony Express Dance Saturday at the Best Western Starlite Village Inn & Suites in Fort Dodge.

All the proceeds will be given to Easter Seals of Iowa, Camp Sunnyside. Easter Seals of Iowa enables handicapped the experience of the camp facility, for kids who would not otherwise get the chance to experience a camp. The campers come on Friday nights and spend the week canoeing, swimming, crafting and enjoying camping life, tailored just for them. Camp Sunnyside’s mission is to provide exceptional services to ensure that all people with disabilities or special needs and their families have equal opportunities to live, learn, work, enjoy and have some fun.

The Iowa winners of Nashville Next-Tyler Richton and the High Bank Boys will be performing again this year. They are a 5-piece band featuring a fiddle player and a steel guitar player. Get your dancing boots on.

Our event is hosted to raise money and our club is a part is of the Pony Express Riders of Iowa who will ride from all corners of the state to Camp Sunnyside in Des Moines on Easter weekend. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the music starts at 7:30 p.m. till midnight. We will have a live auction, silent auction and raffle. Items for this are always welcome. If you have something you would like to donate, please contact me, or any club member. Admission for adults $5. Kids 17 and under $3. Kids under the age of 17 must leave at 10 p.m., due to state law.
