Support is appreciated

To the editor:

Upper Des Moines Opportunity Inc. would like to thank The 100+ Women Who Care for believing in our mission, and the Back to School Program. The Back to School program is for families at 185 percent poverty or below. This program runs entirely 100 percent on donations from the community. Without donations like this, we would not be able to do this program every year for the children in our community.

We provide a new backpack for each child filled with the basic school supplies such as pencils, pens, erasers, glue, paper, spiral notebooks, composition notebooks, folders, scissors, binders, pencil boxes and pouches, glue sticks and crayons, needed to start the new school year off.

We have been blessed three times with a donation from the 100+ Women Who Care. Once for the Baby’s Room and twice for the Back to School program.

Working together, makes a difference.
