To the editor:

On June 5, we will make our way to the polls to cast our primary ballots. I am asking you please consider voting for my good friend, state Sen. Dan Zumbach, for secretary of agriculture. I have served alongside Dan for the past four years in the Iowa Senate. Throughout that time I have developed great respect for him as a leader, man of his word, and as a friend. One thing I appreciate about Dan is his ability to not only talk the talk but also walk the walk. His passion for serving Iowa’s agriculture needs is unmatched.

Sen. Zumbach has spent the last 40 years as a farmer here in Iowa, and as chairman of the Senate Agriculture Committee has a proven record of following through with what he says. I trust Dan Zumbach in the Iowa Senate to have the best interest of his fellow Iowans at heart and know he will continue this as secretary of agriculture. With crucial agricultural issues facing every Iowan we need a proven leader with the experience producing results. I know Dan Zumbach will be an unwavering advocate for agriculture and Iowa as a whole.
