Future generations will also benefit

To the editor:

We have all heard that it take a village to raise a child. It is also true that it takes a community to build a school or upgrade buildings. One person cannot do either of these alone. Our own children have spent countless hours in this district’s schools and one will be there for several more years. We have many great memories of their school activities as we are sure they do, too.

Our children have been blessed with good schools. Every child needs a safe school in which to learn and grow. This school district needs a new elementary building and safety improvements in other buildings. Most of the school buildings were built before we moved to Fort Dodge, but someone built these schools. They built schools not just for their own children but for someone else’s children, our children.

We are voting “yes” for the school bond issue, not just for our child but for future generations.

Please vote ‘yes’ for all the children.
