Congratulations Lynx, Wildcats

To the editor:

Just got home from watching one of the most exciting high school basketball games for me in recent memory and have a few observations. This was a knock down drag out battle between two really good teams and lived up to all expectations. First off, congrats to the WC Lynx for a great team win and to Mason Myers for a career performance when it counted most. Welcome to the 1,000 point club. Unbelievable job not only in scoring but all phases of the game. Same goes for all the Lynx, everybody that played stepped up at the right time in the biggest game of the year! Congrats also goes out to the Humboldt Wildcats and in specific, Jaxon Heinz and Brady Ross. Two great performances, great careers, and even better, great sportsmanship at the end of the game. This is what high school sports should be all about. Always easy to be good sports when you win but really special when you are when things don’t go your way. Now, get one more Lynx for yourselves, your coaches, Webster City and the North Central Conference and get to Wells Fargo.

Go Lynx.
