EVA DILGES

DES MOINES — Eva L. Dilges, 98, of Des Moines, formerly of Fort Dodge, died Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at Trinity Center at Luther Park, in Des Moines.

Grave side services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday, June 25, at North Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is 10:00-11:30 a.m. Monday at Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

Eva is survived by her daughter Barb (Dwight) Anderson, Johnston; grandchildren, Rodger (Janice) Anderson, Chatham, IL; Brock (Christina) Anderson, Newton; Jolie (B.J.) Fuhrman, Johnston; and great-grandchildren, Isabel, Abigail, Carter, Drew, Lauren, Heath and Blake. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry, her parents and her sisters, Ila Fay, Joyce Ericksen and Ada McHenry.

Eva Lorene Hafner, the daughter of Frank and Louisa (Frankenpohl) Hafner, was born June 25, 1919, in Marysville, KS. She graduated from Marysville High School in 1937 and lived at Beatrice, NE, until moving to Fort Dodge in 1940. On August 5, 1943, Eva was united in marriage to Harry Dilges at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fort Dodge. Eva was employed with F.W. Woolworth, J.C. Penney’s Department Store and Lazy Ike.

Eva was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, enjoyed quilting and spending time at Lake Okoboji and Twin Lakes.
