Lucille Elizabeth Amund­son, 90 of Fort Dodge passed away on Fri­day, Dec­ember 1, 2017 at the Paula J. Ba­ber Hos­pice Home. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Corpus Christi Church with Father Patrick Behm officiating. Burial will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at Corpus Christi Church. Arrangements have been entrusted with Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

Lucille was born in Mason City, IA on October 11, 1927 to Eugene and Bridget (O’Donnell) Kelley. She grew up and graduated from Mason City High School. She went on to college to obtain a business degree. On February 27, 1954 she was united in marriage to Leon Amundson at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. In 1959 the couple made their home in Fort Dodge. She worked for Felco Land O’ Lakes and after retiring she worked for New Cooperative and at the Iowa Central Community College Library. She was a longtime member of Corpus Christi Church and Holy Trinity Parish. Over the years she helped with Campfire, Cub Scouts and the PTA. She enjoyed baking, knitting, scrapbooking, gardening and her flower beds. She also loved spending time with her family and friends.

Lucille is survived by her children Vernell Amundson of Fort Dodge, Victor Amundson of North West Iowa and Elizabeth “Liz” (Lynn) Rusher of Fort Dodge; grandchildren Chelsey Stanley, Adam Tussing, Macy Zelinski, Hunter Amundson, Skyler Bergman, Lanna (Kelly) Nuckolls and Lucius (Jill) Rusher; 10 great-grandchildren and her sister-in-law Gertrude Kelley of Rockwell, IA. She was preceded in death by her husband Leon; her parents Eugene and Bridget and her siblings Melvin Kelley and Marce (Harry) Schutter.
