Kay Thomas of Fort Dodge went to her heavenly home on Thursday, October 19, 2017. She was born on July 20, 1936, in Fort Dodge to Frank and Fran Allen, educated in local schools graduating from Tobin Business College. She married Clyde (Butch) Thomas in September 1955. Kay was a stenographer at the Webster County Welfare Office and later worked at Diet Center and practiced and taught Reflexology.

Kay mentored women and taught bible studies. She had a lifelong love for music playing the violin in the Fort Dodge String Symphony and Messiah Orchestra, sang with the Sweet Adeline’s Quartet, played the keyboard with the Gospel Group, “Companions in the Lord” and played guitar and sang extensively for many occasions.

She is survived by her children, Cathy (Dave) Harry, Fort Dodge, Iowa; Linda (Dave) Cullison, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania and Michael, Orlando, Florida, five grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren, sister Connie (Larry) Koester, brother Terry (Cheryl) Allen, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde (Butch) Thomas, parents and brothers Jay and Rick Allen.

Visitation and service will be at 10:00 am at the First Covenant Church, Fort Dodge followed by a small lunch. Pastor Craig Vote of United Evangelical Covenant Church will be officiating with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery in Fort Dodge.
