Robyn Ann (Schreck) Ost­erberg, 56, of Fort Dodge, died on Fri­day, Sep­tem­ber 8, 2017 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home after courageous battle with cancer. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Corpus Christi Church, celebrated by Monsignor Kevin McCoy. Interment will be held in Corpus Christi Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday at Corpus Christi Church and Saturday from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. prior to the service. Arrangements have been entrusted with Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

Robyn Ann Schreck, the daughter of Robert and Lois (Stork) Schreck, was born September 26, 1960 in Des Moines, IA. She graduated from West Des Moines Dowling High School in 1979. She earned her degree in Education in 1983 from University of Northern Iowa and a master’s degree from Buena Vista in July of 2009. For three years she taught in Independence, Iowa and in 1986 moved to Fort Dodge where she taught first grade at Feelhaver for the next 28 years. On August 16, 1986, Robyn was united in marriage to Michael Osterberg. To this union they were blessed with two children, Cole and Paige.

Robyn was a member of Holy Trinity Parish. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Mom’s Dance Squad through Hollingsworth, Retired Teachers Association, and Fort Dodge Booster Club. Robyn enjoyed playing cards in card club, golfing, playing volleyball and co-ed softball, reading, time spent with close friends, traveling, watching their kids in their activities and sporting events and most of all loved time spent together with family.

She will be dearly missed by those left behind including her husband of 31 years, Mike; her children, Cole and Paige; her mother Lois Schreck of Des Moines; her brothers Doug (Diane) Schreck of Des Moines; David (Cindy) Schreck of Bellevue, NE; her nieces and nephews, Shane, Jake, Summer and Davina; her in-law’s Dean and Ida Osterberg of Rock Rapids and her brother-in-law David Osterberg of Fort Dodge. She was preceded in death by her father Robert Schreck and her brother Dwight Schreck.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
