Lillian H. Hoover, 97, Fort Dodge formerly of Callender, passed away Monday, January 9, 2017 at the Marian Home in Fort Dodge. Funeral services will be 1:30 pm Thursday, January 12, 2017 at United Methodist Church, Gowrie with Pastor Annette Kruse officiating. Burial will be in the Callender Cemetery. Friends may call after 4:00 pm (today) Wednesday at Palmer Funeral Home in Gowrie.
Lillian is survived by daughters; Phyllis (Doug) Hoover of Fort Dodge, and Darlene (Dean) Light of Kansas City, Kansas, 5 grandchildren; Robin (Larry) Iles, Marsha (Kelly) Foster, Jodi (Mark) Paeper, Brett (Jeni) Light, and Amy (Dan) Maskil, 11 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Henry and Laura (Siefker) Webbink, husband; Floyd Hoover, brother; Clarence Webbink, and sister; Florence Ohrtman.
Lillian H. Webbink was born September 27, 1919 at Fort Dodge and graduated from Plover High School. She attended Tobin Business College in Fort Dodge. Lillian was united in marriage with Floyd Hoover in February of 1941 at Gowrie. They farmed in the Callender area all their life. Lillian was a member of United Methodist Church Callender and Gowrie and the United Methodist Women.
