Insurance agent offers program to raise Honor Flight money

An insurance agent in Fort Dodge is raising money for the Brushy Creek Area Honor Flight while offering no-obligation quotes to customers this month.

For every quote given to customers during the month of November, Jeff Haupts, a State Farm agent, will donate $10 to the Honor Flight, which takes veterans to Washington, D.C., to see the nation’s war memorials.

“We’re trying to do what’s called Quotes for Good,” Haupts said.

He said Quotes for Good is a State Farm initiative in which money is donated to various charitable causes when agents give quotes on policies.

He said whenever someone comes in his office and asks for a price on a policy, his firm will give $10 to the Honor Flight. The customer will receive a price quote with no obligation to buy anything.

The Quotes for Good initiative will be going on through Nov. 30.

Haupts’ office is at 116 N. 15th St. The office phone number is 955-3626.
