Webster County Conservation offers nature day camps

Webster County Conservation will hold nature day camps for middle school ages in July and August.

Camps will be held 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 17-19, and Aug. 7-9, at Camp WaNoKi, 2401 WaNoKi Camp Road, east of Coalville.

Campers will get connected with nature with activities including:

• hiking

• primitive hunting skills (archery/atlatl/tomahawks)

• geocaching

• orienteering

• stewardship work (working on the land with hand tools)

• survival skills (fire building and shelter building)

Cost is $30, and includes snacks, drinks, lunch, and supplies.

Space is limited. A minimum of 10 are needed to hold camp.

Wear old clothes, long pants, and old, closed-toed shoes. Bring insect repellant, sunscreen and a water bottle.
