FD council to discuss sewers, housing project

The Fort Dodge City Council will begin its efforts Monday evening with a workshop discussion on sewer projects.

That session will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Municipal Building, 819 First Ave. S.

The council’s regular business meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in the Municipal Building. The Williams Bend housing project will again be discussed by the council.

The elected officials will consider the second reading of a zoning change needed for the construction of 30 duplex houses there. It will also consider a measure that would allow up to $1.2 million of tax increment financing money to be used to help pay for installing infrastructure where the duplexes will be.

The elected officials will also consider the second reading of a zoning change to allow more outdoor storage on the property of Misty Harbor, 228 Kenyon Road West.
