Calhoun County seeks input on housing

CALHOUN COUNTY — Calhoun County Economic Development Corp. and RDG Planning & Design are completing a housing needs assessment for Calhoun County. This study will identify opportunities and issues in the housing market and provide detailed information and resources to develop strategies for moving forward to meet future needs.

As part of this study, community input is being sought on the housing market through a variety of techniques.

Stakeholder group meetings will be held throughout the day on Tuesday in different communities in Calhoun County. These focus group sessions will last for 60 to 90 minutes. The public is invited to attend any of the following meetings:

Lake City, 10:30 a.m., Lake City Community Building, Lake City.

Rockwell City — community meeting, (this will include smaller communities throughout Calhoun County, such as Farnhamville, Lohrville, Pomeroy), 1:30 p.m., Community Room, Rockwell City Public Library, Rockwell City.

Rockwell City– focused meeting, 3 p.m., Community Room, Rockwell City Public Library, Rockwell City.

Manson, 5:30 p.m., MAC Center, Manson.

A short online survey on the perception of the community and the market for housing in Calhoun County will be going on until the end of the month.
