Five FDSH groups headed to All State

Members of the Fort Dodge Senior High speech team attended the Iowa High School Speech Association State Large Group Speech contest in LeMars.

They performed On Feb. 3. The 11 acts that qualified for State through the district competition last month. Seven of the acts received Division I ratings with five of them selected for All State and four groups received Division II ratings.

Speech coach Lindey Krug said, “We had an outstanding day at State. All of the groups performed really well and we are thrilled to have had five groups selected for All State. It is such an honor for the kids to be chosen and will be an experience they will never forget.”

The All State Speech Festival is Feb. 17 at Iowa State University.
