Vandi, Conell promoted, Porter hired in Fort Dodge Fire Department
Two Fort Dodge firefighters were promoted Monday, and a new one was hired.
Jason Vandi was promoted from lieutenant to captain.
Firefighter Eric Conell was promoted to lieutenant to fill Vandi’s former position.
Kyle Porter was hired to be the city’s newest firefighter. He is an emergency medical technician with Calhoun County Emergency Medical Service and a volunteer firefighter in Duncombe.
The promotions and the hiring were approved by the City Council Monday.
