Theiss farm rezoning to come before council for final vote

The proposed new rules for fireworks are not the only things on the agenda for the Fort Dodge City Council on Monday.

At 5:30 p.m., the council will hear a presentation from some Fort Dodge Senior High students who traveled to Kosovo in August. Fort Dodge is a sister city to Gjakova in Kosovo.

The council’s regular business meeting will begin at 6 p.m.

During that session, the council will consider the third and final reading of a measure changing the zoning to allow a 55-unit apartment complex at the former Theiss farm.

The council will also consider the first reading of a change to the shopping center zoning rules that would allow some different uses of property in the Crossroads Mall area.
