Iowa Fraud Fighters to hold educational forum
Iowa Insurance Division and other state agency partners will hold an educational forum to combat insurance fraud Wednesday at the Best Western Starlite Village Inn & Suites, 1518 Third Ave. NW.
Registration check-in and informational booths begins at 11:30 a.m., with lunch at noon followed by a program.
Con artists are targeting Americans age 60 and older, swindling more than seven million Americans out of almost $3 billion each year. The “Iowa Fraud Fighters — Shield Your Savings” program will teach attendees how to avoid and report insurance fraud.
The complimentary luncheon program includes a presentation, followed by the opportunity for attendees to ask forum panelists questions. Agency partners and AARP, a forum assistance provider, will have information booths available before and after the program to provide additional resources.
