Eagle Grove loses power Tuesday
EAGLE GROVE — A branch that was touching an electrical line caused a power outage in Eagle Grove Tuesday, according to Adam Jacobi, spokesman for MidAmerican Energy Co.
More than 1,200 customers were impacted by the outage.
Power was lost at 4:30 p.m., Jacobi reported.
The north boundary of the outage was the 500 block of Nickel Lane. The south boundary was the 2800 block of Iowa Highway 17. The west boundary the 2600 block of Calhoun Avenue. The east boundary was the 300 block of Northeast Broadway Street.
The branch was removed and the circuit was closed, according to Jacobi.
Power was restored at 6:12 p.m.
