Downed tree causes outage in Fort Dodge

A large tree that was blown into electrical equipment caused a 90-minute power outage in Fort Dodge Saturday afternoon, according to Adam Jacobi, a spokesman for MidAmerican Energy Co.

The outage lasted from 2:31 p.m. to 4:01 p.m.

More than 1,700 customers were impacted. An additional 100 rural Webster County customers were affected.

The north boundary of the outage was the 500 block of Dolliver Drive.

The east boundary was the 400 block of Crestview Drive.

The west and south boundaries were located on the 1600 block of 220th Street.
