Lehigh under boil advisory
LEHIGH — The Iowa Department of Natural Resources has issued a boil advisory for Lehigh.
According to the DNR, the water pumps at the city’s water treatment plant malfunctioned Monday, meaning the water tower couldn’t refill.
Water pressure has been restored, but the DNR said residents are being asked to boil water for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth or preparing food.
Testing will be done until it’s determined the water is safe and the advisory can be lifted.
