Officer Matt Burns, of the Fort Dodge Police Department, holds a jacket and helmet, which were apparently worn by Lucious Jackson, 25, of Fort Dodge, Monday afternoon. Jackson was charged with failing to stop at a stop sign, driving while barred, and interference with official acts. He was arrested by Fort Dodge police officers at 1324 Second Ave. N.

Lucious Jackson, 25, of Fort Dodge, ran a stop sign at the intersection of First Avenue North and North 13th Street. At one point, Jackson drove the ATV into a puddle, which disengaged the vehicle, according to Stanley. Jackson then ran on foot and hid behind some garbage bags along Second Avenue North. Stanley said an officer was able to follow Jackson’s shoe impressions.

The Fort Dodge Police Department, Webster County Sheriff’s Department, and Fort Dodge Fire Department were on scene.
