Eagle Grove man arrested after firing shots at occupied bus

EAGLE GROVE – An Eagle Grove man has been arrested after he allegedly fired multiple shots from his pickup truck at a bus occupied by Union Pacific Railroad workers Thursday morning, according to a press release from the Eagle Grove Police Department.

No injuries were reported.

Jason Bouska, 38, is charged with intimidation with a dangerous weapon, a class C felony, and going armed with intent, a class D felony.

According to police, Bouska fired shots from a silver pickup truck in the area of Railroad Avenue and Southeast Second Street shortly after 6 a.m. Thursday.

At the time the shots were fired, the bus in that area was occupied by “several workers,” police reported.

The truck Bouska was driving was later located near the intersection of Blaine Avenue and Northeast First Street.

Bouska was seen in the doorway of a nearby residence with a weapon, according to police.

Police said he eventually exited the residence and was taken into custody.

Bouska is being held in the Wright County Jail.

The Eagle Grove Police Department was assisted by the Wright County Sheriff’s Department, Iowa State Patrol, Iowa Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Enforcement, Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, and Union Pacific Railroad police.
