The Webster County Sheriff’s Department leads the funeral procession for Kenny Powell down the Karl King Bridge Wednesday as it goes from First Covenant Church to Memorial Park Cemetery. Powell passed away last week at the age of 73. He spent more than 15 years as a reserve deputy with the Webster County Sheriff’s Department, and also worked as a reserve officer with the combined Fort Dodge/Webster County Reserve Unit. Before the procession, Powell’s final dispatch was paged out over the radio: “This is 94-105’s final 10-42 (end of shift). He passed away Nov. 9, 2018. Kenny served as a dedicated reserve officer for over 15 years. The citizens of Fort Dodge and Webster County thank you and appreciate your service. May you rest in peace, Kenny. 94-105, 10-42, 11:37.”
