Fort Dodge Police Detective Larry Hedlund described speaking to Levi Gibbs III in the days after Shane Wessels was shot and killed in Pleasant Valley last September during Gibbs’ first-degree murder trial in Webster County District Court Friday.

Hedlund said Gibbs repeatedly denied shooting Wessels, denied having a gun and never said he was defending his sister.

After lunch, jurors are expected to view a 30-minute police interview with Gibbs recorded after his arrest.
