Storm displaces Thor family
THOR — One family was displaced in Thor after strong storms swept through Humboldt County Tuesday night, according to Melody Larson, Humboldt County emergency management coordinator.
Larson said a large tree fell on the house and caused enough damage that the family couldn’t stay there.
“We have them set up in a hotel overnight,” Larson said.
Another tree knocked over a fence containing livestock, Larson reported.
“They were worried about their livestock,” she said.
Multiple trees were down throughout the county.
Some power lines were also reportedly knocked down. Bode and Rutland were without power for a time, but electricity has since been restored.
