Flooding shuts down part of Dolliver

Portions of Dolliver Memorial State Park are closed after heavy rains swept through the area, according to a press release from the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.

The middle section of the park, which includes the campground, center lodge, family cabins, and boat ramp, is closed due to flooding.

The north and south entrances are open. The north open shelter will remain open with access from only the north entrance.

The south lodge will remain open with access from only the south entrance. There is no through access.

George Wyth Memorial State Park in Black Hawk County is completely closed, according to the DNR.

The Cedar River is anticipated to crest Monday morning. Park officials hope to open up the park again by mid-week.

Park staff are expecting water across the roadways and in the campground areas and throughout the park.

The trails will also be under water and closed.
