Three are accused of robbing Fort Dodge man
Two more young Fort Dodge men have been charged in connection with an October 2017 robbery that left a man injured.
Emmett R. Utley, 19, and Triston T. Delanoit, 21, both of Fort Dodge, have been charged with first-degree robbery, a Class B felony.
Brody W. Walker, 29, of Fort Dodge, had previously been charged with the same crime in connection with the case.
According to criminal complaints, filed with the Webster County attorney’s office, all three men took part in the robbery of a Fort Dodge man in the 1800 block of Eighth Avenue North in October 2017.
The victim told Fort Dodge police that he was robbed and beaten during the incident, and that money, a 9-mm handgun and a safe were all stolen from him.
At one point during the robbery, the victim was hit in the head and hurt, according to the criminal complaint.
Two other people involved in the robbery identified Walker, Delanoit and Utley being involved, the complaint stated.
The complaints also said that Delanoit’s wallet was found not far from the scene.
Utley and Delanoit made their initial appearances in Webster County Magistrate Court Monday morning, where they were both ordered held on $100,000 cash-only bonds. Their preliminary hearings have been set for March 14.
Walker had made his initial appearance Saturday, and was also ordered held on $100,000 bond. His preliminary hearing is March 9.
