Vehicles, including those of first responders, are parked at the scene of a semi-truck accident on U.S. Highway 20. The overpass leading to Moorland can be seen to the east. Traffic using the westbound on-ramp had to slow while an official watched for traffic and waved them along when it was clear.

Moorland Firefighters respond to the scene of a semi truck crash on the westbound on-ramp to U.S. Highway 20 near Moorland. The freightliner being driven eastbound blew a tire, crossed the median, and left a muddy trail as it crossed the westbound lanes of traffic and crashed into the guardrail on the north side, according to Webster County Sheriff’s Deputy Mike Kenyon. There was a bit of a close call with an oncoming car, but no one was hurt, Kenyon said, and the truck driver, Marvin Gergory, of Alabama, was not taken to the hospital. UnityPoint-Trinity ambulance also responded to the scene.
