A Fort Dodge man has been arrested for allegedly committing a robbery in town last Oct. 30.
Spencer R. Fitzpatrick Jr., 18, of Fort Dodge, has been charged with one count of first-degree robbery and one count of possession of a controlled substance.
It’s alleged that, on Oct. 30, 2017, Fitzpatrick and another unidentified man robbed the victim at a home on South 22nd Street. The victim reported hearing the two men call each other “Spencer” and “Tony,” according to the criminal complaint, filed with the Webster County attorney’s office.
Money and watches were among the items that were stolen.
It’s alleged in the complaint that Fitzpatrick admitted to being a part of the robbery.
He made his initial appearance in Webster County Magistrate Court Monday morning, where Magistrate William Thatcher ordered Fitzpatrick held on $100,000 cash-only bond. He also issued a no-contact order between Fitzpatrick and the alleged victim.
