13 FDCSD staff members accept early retirement

Thirteen staff members in the Fort Dodge Community School District have accepted early retirement.

The FDCSD board agreed to offer an early retirement incentive package in October 2017.

The early retirement offering was a $2,000 early notification bonus, along with the accumulated sick day compensation, using the formula designated with each group, of the early retirement offering.

The incentive was offered in part to offset potential losses in state funding.
