Reindeer Games at mall is Saturday
Children and families will have the opportunity to see Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer on Saturday at the Crossroads Mall as part of the second annual Reindeer Games.
The event will be held at the mall, 217 S. 25th St., from 1 to 3 p.m.
Melissa Verschoor, the mall’s marketing director, said there will be many activities for children.
“We have Rudolph, who comes out, and he plays ‘minute to win it’-type games with the kids,” Verschoor said. “He usually ends up doing some little dances and doing fun things and taking selfies with the kids.”
“It’s just a fun family activity,” she added.
This is the second year the event is being held.
Verschoor said last year’s Reindeer Games went well.
“It was pretty successful for a first time,” she said.
She added that anyone is welcome to attend, and that there will be photo opportunities and “family fun” with Rudolph.
“It’s a fun community activity,” Verschoor said. “And we look forward to having everyone out.”
Reindeer Games is one of several events the mall has planned for the holiday season.
On Dec. 16, it will host a holiday showcase featuring vendors, live entertainment, activities and gift-wrapping, as well as festivities throughout the mall.
On Dec. 22, the mall will be hosting Ugly Christmas Sweater Day. Visitors are encouraged to wear ugly sweaters, and mall employees will be wearing theirs as well.
