FORT DODGE — Fort Dodge Area Symphony Concert “Down Home Holiday” is 3 p.m.

SUNDAY at Fort Dodge Middle School, 800 N. 32nd St. Admission is by season membership or tickets at the door are $10 for adults and free for students.

FORT DODGE — Soldier Creek Winery, 1584 Paragon Ave., is holding Vineyard Vibrations from 6 to 8 p.m. TODAY. Free live music will be provided by Larry Myer. Food will be available for purchase.

FORT DODGE — Blanden Memorial Art Museum, 920 Third Ave. S., is holding First Free Saturday Family Artmaking from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. SATURDAY. On a come and go basis, family groups of adults and children together are welcome to visit the Blanden where an area will be set up for social and creative fun. There will be freewill donations accepted to purchase a gift card for a local food bank.

FORT DODGE — “A Time For Angels” Service of Remembrance is 1:30 p.m. SUNDAY at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, 239 N. 11th St. The service is dedicated to those who have lost a loved one this past year. The event is sponsored by Gunderson Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

FORT DODGE — The Fort Dodge MobilePack is 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. SATURDAY at Community Christian School gym, 2406 9 1/2 Ave. S. The event is held in partnership with the not-for-profit organization Feed My Starving Children. There will be 109,000 meals to pack. FORT DODGE — Share What You Wear, a community clothing event sponsored by Iowa Central Community College, is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. SATURDAY at the ICCC Career Education Building, One Triton Circle. Donations may be dropped off TODAY from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the storage trailer located on the west side of the Career Education Building.

FORT DODGE — First Congregational United Church of Christ will hold its annual cookie and bake sale, “Cookies and More,” from 8 a.m. to noon SATURDAY at the church, 1611 Williams Drive. Large containers of cookies and other Christmas goodies will be on sale, as well as crafts such as homemade aprons. Proceeds go to camp scholarships.

FORT DODGE — St. Paul Lutheran Church will be having its 13th annual Jennie Williamson Christmas Concert SATURDAY at 4 p.m. at the church. The event is free and open to the entire community. Free will donations will be accepted.

FORT DODGE — The Webster County Genealogical Society will hold its open house/holiday party from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on

BOXHOLM — Trinity Lutheran Church will be having a Swedish Meatball Dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. TODAY. Free will donation.

GILMORE CITY — Gilmore City’s annual Winter Fun Day is 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. SATURDAY. There will be crafts at the library, firemen’s luncheon at the fire station, craft fair, Santa Claus, sleigh rides, Cafe fundraiser and caroling at the Gazebo.

GOWRIE — The Gowrie United Methodist Women will be hosting their annual Christmas Coffee and Bazaar SATURDAY at Gowrie United Methodist Church. It will be from 8 to 11 a.m. Items available for purchase include home-baked items, candy, cookie walk, hand-made rag rugs and tablecloths, home-made noodles and various crafts.

HUMBOLDT — Zion Lutheran Church will be hosting its 29th annual Gemutlichkeit Luncheon SATURDAY from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 10. Preschoolers are free. Tickets can be bought from Humboldt Engraving & Gifts, Caribbean Coffee House, by calling the church office at 332-3279 or Marilyn Kuehnast at 332-3535.

POCAHONTAS — ISU Extension and Outreach Pocahontas County is hosting a Healthy Holiday Taste Tester event from 8 a.m.to 4:30 p.m. TODAY at the office. Stop by to taste test some healthy holiday snacks and pick up the recipes.

CALLENDER — Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church Christmas Fair and Luncheon is 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. SATURDAY. There will be a bake sale, Lefse sale, Christmas treasures and crafts. A lunch of beef burgers or chicken salad in a krum kaka bowl, salads, fancy cookies and Scandinavian food will be served for $7 for adults, $3 for preschool through third grade and free for ages 3 and under.

HUMBOLDT — The Sounds of Christmas will be SUNDAY at the Congregational United Church of Christ starting at 2 p.m. The concert will feature organ solos and piano/organ duets, as well as vocal soloist Pam Stalpes and the Senior Choir under the direction of Sharon Fontana. Coffee and cookies will be served following the concert. Free will donations are accepted.

WEBSTER CITY — Legacy Learning Boone River Valley is holding Holiday Ornaments Two from 1 to 4 p.m. SATURDAY at Produce Station Pottery, Webster City. Cost is $25. Register at www.legacylearningbrv.com.
