UPDATE: A man charged with attempted murder and willful injury has been ordered held on a combined $600,000 cash bond.

Two people were injured in an unknown incident near Ninth Avenue South late Tuesday night, according to Sgt. Steve Hanson, of the Fort Dodge Police Department.

The injured were transported by ambulance to UnityPoint Health — Trinity Regional Medical Center.

Their conditions were unknown as of Tuesday night.

The Fort Dodge Police Department, Fort Dodge Fire Department and UnityPoint were on scene.

UPDATE: The Fort Dodge Police Department has issued a press release about the incident. Two females were injured. They were transported to UnityPoint Health — Trinity Regional Medical Center and are in stable condition.

Mark Poppen, 46, of Fort Dodge, was taken into custody and charged with attempted murder, a Class B felony, and willful injury, a Class C felony.
