One injured in crash near Moorland

-Messenger photo by Peter Kaspari Moorland Fire Chief Ken Thompson uses an extrication tool to remove the door on a Mitsubishi Lancer that was involved in an accident near Moorland Monday morning. The accident happened at Webster County Road D36 and Baxter Avenue. One person was removed from the Mitsubishi. He was taken to UnityPoint Health — Trinity Regional Medical Center, but the extent of his injuries were not known. A Dodge pickup truck was also involved in the accident. It’s not known if anybody else was taken to the hospital. The accident report from the Iowa State Patrol was not ready by press time. The Webster County Sheriff’s Department also responded to the scene.
